ok so we finally got into to update the website, sorry for the delays....Our server was locked up.. But enough of that.... lets talk SHOP!!!

We have been getting some fun, new goodies in the store... One of my personal favs is the whole line of Tattered Angels.. The new Glimmer mist colors are so pretty and adds such elegance to any project. I love the added touch it brings out. I am also very excited about adding more trinkets to our bits and pieces table... You all seem to really enjoy ( as well as I ) all the little trinkets to add to our mini books. So I will keep updating that table.. Then with the new Prima and Petaloo flowers... ooooweee! I love it!

As always we love our customers inputs. We truly listen and try to make Diva's the STORE YOU WANT to shop and PLAY at!!... If you have an idea, a product request, a compliment or even a complaint.. I WANNA HEAR about it!!. It is very importrant to me to have open communication with my customers and Design Team... If you are looking for certain classes to be taught.. just ask us, we are here for YOU! Our customers are what drives us to be the fun store we have going here... I feel so blessed every day to come to work and do what I love and meeting and playing with some of the greatest people in the East Bay! I love all you Diva's out there....

Well, its late I best get home, but i will hope to post another blog soon with the soon to be arriving boxs next week!! YAHHOO!!

WOW.. I had so much fun teaching kids camp over this last spring break!! We had great girls who were so wiling to learn and get CREATIVE! I definetly plan more of the kid's day camps in the summer. So look for our upcoming calander for those classes. Marlene and I trrly enjoyed ourselves with these kids!

Next, I cant belive products from the CHA show ARE STILL arriving! We just got more boxes this week.. Youll have to stop by and see the goodies! Some of the ribbon I had ordered came in too.. I cant wait to create the ribbon wall and expand its current location! I have also decided to expand the Bazzill wall. We want more colors to go with more projects... so look for that in upcoming weeks as well.. We have lots of plans in store...

Remember , shop local...and small business! Its through these hard economic times that us small business owners only thrive and can stay alive with your continued support! Even if its a bottle of GLUE, or a sticker for a kids school project.. CHA CHA CHA!!

We're back from our whirlwind trip to Anaheim for the Craft & Hobby Association show otherwise known as CHA. And what a trip it was! We had a blast seeing all the new stuff from everyone. There were literally hundreds of booths with everything from yarn to art supplies and of course, scrapbooking supplies. And it was fabulous! We ordered a TON of new stuff and we can't wait for it all to come in. We have product from some old vendors such as Doodlebug and Prima but also entirely new companies like Dream Street Papers, Bella Blvd., Paper Trunk and much more. So look for new product to arrive in the coming weeks. As always, we will email everyone when the new stuff comes in.

And with new product, this means new classes. We've added class for the first half of February. Just the Basics will cover the basics of scrapbooking. This is perfect for anyone who is new to scrapbooking and wants to learn more. We also have a layout class using the fantastic Daisy Bucket papers. Aren't they gorgeous? And of course, our 2 Aninversary Crops. The first one is on Saturday, February 21st and the second one is on Saturday, February 28th. We hope you made your reservation because both of these crops are FULL! They sold out in less than two days. Needless to say, we were thrilled and amazed by the response. It is sure to be a fun time.

Need some inspiration? Pop in an check out the stuff our design team has been creating. They are truly the most talented people I know and have created some beautiful projects. We are so lucky to have them!

We'd like to say thank you to all of our loyal customers who continue to shop with us. We know times are tough for everyone and we appreciate your support. WOW what a great holiday season its been. We hope everyone was blessed with a happy and peacful Holiday! Did you get alot of photos taken!!! Lets Scrap em!!! The cold weather makes us want to stay inside and SCRAP SCRAP SCRAP!!!... I am sure you all have tons of photos to put in your albums!! I had so much fun giving the homemade gifts I made this year for the family.. It is always so nice to see their smiles of thanks!!

In short, I wanted to thank everyone for supporting our store through these rough economic times!! It is very scary out there and we hope to continue to survive through it... We have seen so many of our favorite stores closeing .. ones that have been around for decades!!! Its so sad. All the chain stores are taking over the small "ma and pop" stores and even then, those big chains are closing. Things, we hope, can only get better for 2009!

Thank you divas, for supporting Scrap-Diva.. and all small businesses! Remember the hometown stores that bring you the customer service, the quality merchandise, and just the smiling faces you dont always get at major retailers!..AND.. big box DOESNT ALWAYS MEAN LESS EXPENSIVE EITHER!! We price compare SEVERAL times a year and have found many of our tools, adhesive, and products are not only prcied better but we offer such a wider variety of products for your scrapbooking memories. We will continue to fill the store with updated merchadise and in fact, we are getting ready for the CHA show at the end of the month.. we will have lots of goodies to bring back! And ideas for classes. We also are starting to plan our 3rd Anniversary CROP EVENT in February!! Keep checking in for the dates.... tentatively, we are shooting for Feb 21st.

Settling In

And boy do we love our new space!! And we do mean S P A C E!! On that note, we are holding our Crop nights every Saturday from 6PM until midnight. For $10 you can bring your goodies down and crop the night away and also receive 10% off your purchases. Call at least 24 hours ahead to reserve your spot.

Today is the last day to vote for your favorite entry for the Diva Design Team. Tomorrow morning we will be announcing the winners and we can't wait to see who received the most votes. And we've resisted the urge to peek!

We've received NEW Basic Grey and it sure is beautiful. We have the Ambrosia, Eva and Wassailing line and it is going fast. Stop in and grab it before it's all gone!! And next up: Martha Stewart glitters and adhesives! With the holidays coming up we are going to be getting more Christmas stuff in and it's all gorgeous. As it arrives we'll let you know but coming up: Teresa Collins' Christmas line, Kaiser Craft paints and much more. Lots of fun stuff!!!

We've also added a new class. Carrie will be teaching a Disney ABC album class. This is a 6 series class and in each class you will complete 4 alphabet pages using Disney embellishments. This album has to be seen to be appreciated because it is BEAUTIFUL. So if you wanna take a gander, swing by the store.

With Friday being Halloween AND Liberty's Homecoming (who planned that?) we've decided to close for the day. We will be reopening on Saturday, November 1st during regular store hours.

We worked....

and worked and worked. And with the help of MANY friends and lots and LOTS of STARBUCKS we got it done. Just like we said we would!

And it looks FAB-YOU-LOUS!!

We feel truly blessed to have so many wonderful friends and customers who took time out of their busy lives to stop by and pitch in with the move. We got everything moved and in place in time to have our Grand Re-Opening on Sunday, October 5th.

It has been a lot of hard work be we did it! So if you haven't stopped in to see the new place, swing by today and check it out.

On to new stuff, and we do have new stuff. Just in: My Little Yellow Bicycle Halloween line. And it is absolutely gorgeous. We have it all, acrylic stamps, epoxy stickers and tons of paper. Woohoo!!

Tomorrow is the last day of Kid's Camp. We will be creating a mini Halloween book using Teresa Collins Halloween collection and Doodlebug's Sugar Coated paper. The cost is $25 per person and the camp runs from 10AM until 2PM. You MUST call to pre-pay for this class. Don't miss out!

What a fantastic time we had at our 2nd Annual Breast Cancer Benefit Crop!! And most of you lasted until 2AM! I have to say, I was very impressed. Those who attended got to preview the new store and see all the changes we've made. We are so very excited about our new space! It has been a lot of hard work and long days but so incredibly worth it. Thanks to everyone for their patience during this process and thanks to everyone who attended the crop. As soon as we know what the total donation to the Susan G. Komen foundation is we will let everyone know.

We have a TON of new Halloween stuff in stock. Teresa Collins, Making Memories and more! It's going fast so come grab it before it's all gone!

Our next big crop is the Halloween crop on Saturday, October 18th from 10AM-2AM. Another 16 hours!!! It's $45 and sure to be as much fun as this last one. Costume is optional but we will have a costume contest for those who want to participate.

Last but not least, Kid's Camp is back! It's that time of year and the kids are coming up on their first break next week. With the move, we are only able to do the second week of break but we have lots of fun stuff in store for them. Tabitha will have a fun project everyday for your child to create and it will be a great way for them to spend their Fall break. The cost is $25 per day or $100 for the ENTIRE week. That means you get one day FREE!! It runs from Monday, October 6th until Friday, October 10th from 10AM until 2PM and lunch is included. Contact the store to sign up today!!

We're Moving On Up!!!!

I am very happy and excited to announce that we are EXPANDING!! We are moving a couple of doors down to a bigger better store. In addition, we will be incorporating the photography studio with the store. How exciting! Two great places in one! This means more store, more class space and more fun!! Look for the grand opening announcement soon!

This week we are also having a Disney Days sale. All Disney embellishments are 25% off and all Disney albums are 35% off. What a bargain! This sale will run from Tuesday, September 16th until Friday, September 19th.

Due to the move, the Trinkets n' Treasures sale has been postponed. Not for too long though! Look for a new date to be posted soon!

Our Saturday night crops have been buzzing with creativity. Our last 2 weekends we were filled to the max and had a fun night cropping away. Don't forget, if you want to book a private crop, the cost is just $40 for up to 4 people. Each addition person is $10. Just call the store to make sure the date is available and we'll be happy to set it up for you.

Have you been in lately? Well we stocked up on some fantastic Halloween goodies for you!! We received the beautiful new Teresa Collins, Making Memories and Imaginisce. And we are expecting new product weekly. So if you haven't stopped in lately, swing by and check out our great selection.

Last but not least, this Saturday is the 2nd Annual Breast Cancer Crop. There are still a few spaces left and we are so excited about this great event. Once again, the cost is $55, $15 of which is donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer Research. We will have raffles, prizes, snacks and dinner will be served. The crop is from 10AM until 2AM. That's 16 hours of cropping time!! Woohoo!!
